ALPENA — The future of a pair of medical marijuana shops in Alpena may be up in the air, as the developers selected by the Alpena Municipal Council last year seem to be having second thoughts about opening up shop in the city.

Gilmet said the site plans for the latest applicant should be brought before the planning commission soon.
