Five men have been arrested after police uncovered around a thousand cannabis plants and 55kg of cocaine during searches across South Wales.
Officers from TARIAN – the regional organised crime unit for South Wales – searched a number of addresses across Cardiff, Swansea and Lampeter on 6 September, supported by colleagues from South Wales and Dyfed Powys Police.
During searches, officers also recovered around £100,000 in cash, as well as paraphernalia including cash-counting machines and industrial weighing scales.
The searches were part of an ongoing operation to tackle the supply of Class A drugs in the region.
A 37-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, both from Cardiff, a 49-year-old man from Ceredigion, and two 32-year-old men from Swansea were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
