Springwood Police seize over half a kilogram of cannabis

On June 16, police from Springwood Police Station executed a search warrant at a Slacks Creek address.

During the search, police will allege they located a significant amount of drugs, including over half a kilogram of cannabis in cryovac packs, immature cannabis plants, cannabis seeds, equipment for the manufacturing of cannabis and drug utensils.

Cannabis allegedly seized from the address

As a result of the investigation, two people have now been charged with a total of 18 offences.

A 32-year-old Slacks Creek woman has been charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count of possessing a drug utensil and possessing thing for use in the smoking of a dangerous drug.

A 33-year-old Slacks Creek man has been charged with six counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of possessing thing used in the commission of a crime, possessing thing for use in the commission of a crime, possession of drug utensils for use, possession of utensils that had been used, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of an offence, supplying dangerous drugs and producing dangerous drugs.

Both the man and woman are due to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 14.
